Privacy Policy

Widequest ("we"/"us") takes your privacy seriously. We offer curated discovery routes and digital guides for self-guided backcountry exploration through our platform and services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use and share information from people who use our routes, guides, website and related services. Our Terms of Service governs your use of the Services, available at Widequest.

CONSENT

By using our Services, you agree to how we collect, use and disclose your Personal Information as described here. You always have a choice about information sharing. We collect two kinds of information: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. This Privacy Policy doesn't cover publicly available information or Non-Personal Information as defined under privacy laws. "Personal Information" means identifiable information like your name and email address. We keep this to provide Services and talk with you. "Non-Personal Information" is anonymous data such as Internet Protocol Address (IP Address), browser information and cookies collected when you visit our site. We also collect general demographic information about users. Our main responsibility is handling Personal Information, though we disclose how we use Non-Personal Information for transparency.

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Registration & Community: To use Services, you set up a user account and pick a username. Your username is visible to anyone who accesses our Services. Public communication areas let you connect with other users. Anything you share publicly can be collected by others. Don't share Personal Information in public areas. Sharing someone else's Personal Information breaks our Terms of Service. IP Addresses: We record your IP address when you visit our website and link it to your account. We use this to: Diagnose issues reported on specific IP addresses. See where our users are coming from geographically. Find and stop malicious or illegal activity like multiple accounts. Partner Platform Integration: Using Services on third-party sites (e.g., Facebook) may require you to register and install their app. Their Terms of Service apply. Device IDs: Our apps give us unique device identifiers when you download them. We use this to sync your routes across your device. Device identifiers don't include your name, address or other personal details. Support: We keep the messages you send us to handle inquiries, respond to requests and improve Services. User Feedback: We collect ratings and reviews. You're responsible for following third-party rating policies on Google Play Store or Apple Store. Use: We use Personal Information to give you route access, deliver Services, settle disputes, fix problems, study usage patterns, improve content, catch fraud and criminal activity, send administrative notices, and other uses we describe at collection. This makes Services work better and personalizes your experience.
